THe Creative Arts Service Team

What is CAST?
This 8-week mission team will consist of a group of Christian young-adults (18 or older) gifted in creative arts with an emphasis on acting, music, and dancing. They will be led by adult leaders who will provide spiritual and practical guidance. Ian Evans will supervise the team over the course of the eight weeks.

Why CAST?
The objective of this team will be to use the worship arts to support the vision and mission of The Salvation Army. This would be accomplished through the production of the musical "Godspell" as well as working with youth at summer camps. The ministry of this team will vary from Salvation Army camps, multiple one-night performances throughout the Territory and Pier ministry at Old Orchard Beach.

Is CAST for me?
While we always strive for excellence, don't think you have to be a Broadway caliber performer to apply or audition. Like God, we try to look at the heart as well as a person's talent. We are a service team. We seek individuals with abilities such as - acting, dancing, singing, instrumental, or any combination of the above. You must be at least 18 years old as of June and be active in your Corps or Church.

Will i get paid for being involved in the ministry?

Yes. A stipend is given in a lump sum in August.
